COMT (manual therapy)

The Maitland Approach is considered the cornerstone of modern day Orthopedic Manual Therapy for treatment of both Spinal and Peripheral conditions, and uses primarily the assessment and treatment of the patient’s signs and symptoms to develop an effective treatment plan. This patient-centric approach is recognized worldwide as an efficient, safe and gentle way to evaluate and treat the orthopedic patient to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, restore movement, and maximize function.

COMT – Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist is a designation used by Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars to distinguish those clinicians that have completed a vigorous post-graduate program of courses and passed a nationally recognized exam to denote specific skills needed to apply the Maitland concept to everyday clinical situations. At Redden Total Therapy, all clinicians are encouraged to pursue this nationally recognized specialization to insure we provide the best possible treatment for each patient. We use the Maitland Approach as the base of all evaluation and treatment plans to insure each patient at each clinic receives the highest level of consistent care
